HOW MUCH DO COMPASS GREEN HOMES COST?

Compass Green technology offers a viable alternative to traditional home construction at an affordable price, but is far more efficient than any other residential construction methods with respect to energy and maintenance. When purchasing or building a new home or building a new home, there are two main cost factors to consider:

1.  UPFRONT COST TO PURCHASE / BUILD
2.  COST OF OWNERSHIP (ENERGY & MAINTENANCE)

1. UPFRONT COSTS FOR A COMPASS GREEN HOME

The cost of a Compass Green Home is a direct reflection of what we believe defines a home: high performance design, superior materials, safe and durable, healthy and comfortable. The price quoted for each model in the View Designs section includes:

TURNKEY PRICE

A turnkey home means move-in ready and the turnkey price is the total cost of your finished home, including the Compass Green shell price, external waterproofing system and vegetation layer, and interior finishes. The cost estimated cost per square foot for the finished home is between $150 to $200. However, we are currently preparing a detailed scope of works for each of our designs to produce a more accurate “turnkey” price. Prices will vary due to factors such as site conditions, the level of finish, location, local building codes & requirements and the size of the home. These estimated costs do not include land purchase or site work.

Please note that Compass Green does not provide turnkey homes for clients. We provide the technology, materials, detailed building plans and an estimate of costs to enable your contractor to build the home. Ultimately the final cost of the building the house will be provided to you by your local contractor.

2. COST OF OWNERSHIP

The upfront costs only tells part of the story. The most significant savings actually come after the structure is built – with its incredible energy efficiency you can expect to be paying up to 80% less on your energy bills than traditionally built homes, and there is virtually no maintenance to the external structure of the house. With Compass Green, you are getting a low-maintenance house that offers superior quality and healthier living conditions, all while significantly lowering energy usage.

Reduced maintenance costs and energy use means you’ll save much more money over time

Estimated Energy Intensity by Housing Type is based on data supplied by the US Department of Energy using the national average energy consumption per home type. Exact energy intensity will vary based on site-specific variables and does not include any on-site renewable energy generation, such as a solar electric energy array or solar hot water systems. The addition of renewable energy generation systems may lower the energy intensity and increase the savings.
